There are a variety of ways to be fed by the study of Scripture at Lord of Mercy.
WORSHIP
Each worship service is rich with readings from the Hebrew
Scriptures and the New Testament and Gospels.
The 8:30am service almost always includes a
"mini-study" on one of the Scripture readings of the day, as well as sermons
which are biblically-based.
BROWN BAG BIBLE BUDDIES
"Brown Bag Bible Buddies" is a regular Wednesday
event. (11:30 am to 1:00 pm) Pastor leads an in-depth study of Scripture (the books of Scripture
often suggested by the participants). We meet around a table or two, and there is
ample time for questions and discussion. Bring your lunch!
CONFIRMATION
Confirmation instruction for young people in grades 7 and 8
prepares them to affirm their baptismal vows. Pastor leads this class, which meets
on Tuesdays at our Lord of Mercy Lutheran Church, 3400 Pyramid Way,
Sparks from 6:00-7:30 pm.
In all of the study opportunities at Lord of Mercy, you
don't need to come with a working knowledge of Scripture. You don't even need to
know whether a book is in the Old Testament or New Testament. All questions are
welcome. So are you!
